Body Solid Commercial Rated Vertical Knee Raise and Dip Station Power Tower GVKR60 Review

Assembly is easy - a person needs 2 wrenches 3/4 inch, 1 wrench 11/16 inch, and 1 wrench 1/2 inch to put it together. There's not much to the directions but there's not much to putting it together either - Took 30 minutes for me and that was taking my time.

The space required is small - we have a fairly full exercise room and managed to make room in a corner easily due to the small foot print.

Very stable doing knee lifts or dips - I weigh 225 and there is no give or flex at all to it - and it never rocks even when working the obliques. For my wife the steps make it easy to mount for the knee raises - I can get in to position standing on my toes, I'm 6 foot 1 inch tall. For dips I need to bend at the knees a little bit to keep my toes off the ground but not much.

If a person is looking for a good quality device for these exercises - this is one I am very comfortable recommending.

PowerBlock SportBench Dip Attachment Review

PowerBlock SportBench Dip Attachment
Average Reviews:

I bought this dip bar to go with my power block bench. The idea was to keep my home gym very simple and to make the smallest footprint possible. Two stage3 power blocks, the power block stand, the power block bench, and the dip bar. This equipment has definitely given me a small footprint.

The power block dip bar attachment is just okay. It's not as stable as I would like. The dip bar attachment itself is VERY sturdy but it's got a lot of side to side play (not the dip bar but the bench.)You can still effectively do dips, but when you start struggling the bench starts shaking.I prefer a SOLID platform when doing dips.Another problem is that my grips turn and try to work themselves off.I had to take them off and spray them with 3m upholstery glue so they would stick and stay stuck.

If this bar wasn't so convenient I'd give it a 2 for its stability.

Powerline PVKC83X Vertical Knee Raise Chin Dip Machine Review

Powerline PVKC83X Vertical Knee Raise Chin Dip Machine
Average Reviews:

I decided to take a chance on this because the reviews were ok, and it's cheap. Well...it's a good try, but I think that in order to hit the sweetspot of attractive price and UPS shippable packaging, too many compromises had to be made.

Kind of flimsy: I weight about 190, and this thing flexes noticeably under my weight. I can see the pull bar bend as I put weight on it, and when I do dips, the whole thing gets rocking. At no time does it feel like it's going to tip over, but it definitely flexes in use.

Ergonomic nightmare: I'm 6' tall, and for me, the back pad is way too low. When doing pullups, at full extension, the horizontal arms are touching my armpits- it's too narrow. When I do dips, if I'm not careful, I will hit my head on the pullup bar. I understand now why MOST pullup/dip stations place the pullup bar on the other side of the tower. It takes up more room, but it would make a MUCH more useable apparatus.

I think the photos they use are either photoshopped, or they found the tiniest models they could to make the device appear roomy. It isn't.

$200 isn't a lot of money, so I don't feel 'burned' or ripped off...I just wish now that I had built something myself instead.

Look for mine on Craigslist real soon!

Dip Station Review

Dip Station

I bought this for my 55th birthday present, and I am extremely pleased with it.TDs shipped it immediately and it arrived in excellent condition. It was packaged/wrapped in think bubble-wrap, and there were no chips of the paint or metal "dings".The unit comes in 5 pieces that assemble easily with two wrenches in about 10 minutes. It sits on 4 rubber "feet", which gives stability and prevent sliding. The unit height is 49 inches. The base is 42 inches. The width of the dip handles is 24 inches.

Using the dip station, I found it to be stable and solid.Despite not being floor mounted in any way, it does not rock or shimmy.I am over 200 pounds, and it handles my weight easily. The handles have comfortable rubber grips. They are just the right diameter for a comfortable palm grip. The unit is easily portable and comes in at about 55 pounds. The welds are strong. The cross beam is angled so tha the dip handles flare outward a bit. This gives the unit it's lateral stability.(When putting the unit together, make sure the cross beam is oriented so that the uprights angle out). The unit is painted with heavy duty white/cream paint.

Before getting this unit, I did my dips on my kitchen corner counter. Now I have a great dip station that allows my torso to hang free, or I can use a weight belt and add more weight if desired. If you love to do dips, I recommend this unit. The only other unit I considered is one made by New York Barbells.Compare both units before you decide to purchase.

BodyCraft F432 Dip Attachment for Power Rack Review

BodyCraft F432 Dip Attachment for Power Rack
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought the F430 Power Rack for my wife. It's a great rack and these dip handles
work really well with it. The safeties on the F430 have 2 holes and the safeties can
be installed so these dip handles can be used on the inside, outside or both sides
of the rack.

My wife loves this attachment. Initially it seems like you'll be too close to the
safety but when you use them it's a non issue.

You can also lower the safety all the way down and use the dip handles to do deep
push ups.

These are solid steel and will hold a lot of weight. You can expect some wobble
from your rack if you do your dips outside the rack. Nothing too bad but it will
be there. if you do your dips inside the rack, no wobble at all.

If you are buying the BodyCraft F430 rack, you will really like having these
unless you already have a dedicated Dip Station.
