(More customer reviews)All together I think this is a pretty good deal for someone looking to get started with aerobic exercise.The components are of decent quality: the band didn't seem like it would snap and the ball was easy to inflate.At the time I was looking into prices, it was quite a bit cheaper to get everything as a set then to buy two or three of the individual pieces separately.

The included workout DVD is good as well, with a mix of step aerobics and light weight lifting using the dumbbells and band.

I believe the step is slightly smaller in side to side length then the steps you can buy individually.A better step or more weights would have bumped this up to five stars, but that being said, I haven't seen anything better on sale.

One note of caution: when I first received the package, the cardboard box containing everything was broken and the weights were missing.I wrote Amazon and they sent me a replacement and a pre-paid return shipping labelfairly quickly, even though the actual merchant was Target.

(More customer reviews)To the reviewer who said you can make something like this for $20 or less, well, clearly they don't do step aerobics.This step is designed to absorb a lot of the shock of the moves, making it safer on your joints than wood.There is a nonskid mat on top.It is also sturdy and rated for up to 300 pounds.The step can be used for cardio or double as a weight bench.Additional risers can be purchased to build it up higher.Yes, it is expensive, but so very much worth it for the design and technology that went into making this safe for any level exerciser.I have been using my step for 10 years, and it's still going strong.It's made to last!
