(More customer reviews)I purchased the Kurt Kenetic two months ago, and am thrilled with its performance and quality. If you are considering purchasing a trainer, fluid trainers are the way to go. Basically, there are four major types of trainers: Magnetic,Wind, Rim Driven, and Fluid. The later is the best, hands down! Fluid resistance trainers are more quiet, smoother and more realistic than any of the others mentioned. The only drawback to the fluid trainer is that over time they can leak resistance fluid.There are three companies that have solutions to this drawback. I highly recommend that you research all three and test them out where possible. A good review page is Roadbikereview.com . The CycleOps Fluid 2 is ultra smooth and quiet. They have a limmited warranty on thier products, but are known for standing behind their trainers for life, and will fix any issues probably for life! The One Up Trainer has all the advantages of a fluid trainer, but uses no fluid in its designe, it is made in America and carries a life time warranty. The Kurt Kinetic, which I decided to purchase, is IMHO, the best because it utilizes a sealed fluid unit and therefore is guranteed not to leak. These three units are roughly the same price, around $260.00. Steep? Think of it this way, This product is going to be your companion for many winters, so don't buy a loud, crappy one with crappy customer service! You'll regret later that you didn't spend the extra $75 or $80 on a quality product. I also tested the Blackburn Fluid, $100 bucks cheaper, not bad for price, but since it is new to the market I was unsure about durabillity or how well they stand behind thier trainers after warranty expiration. I have heard amazing testimonials of how Cyclops, Kurt, and One Up, have replaced parts and even whole trainers, no questions asked! Google these three companies and see for yourself.

Isokinetics Inc. Strapless Heart Rate Monitor Watch - 3 Models - Basic Review

(More customer reviews)I recently started a regular exercise program and decided that a heart rate monitor would be a good "accessory" to have. I didn't realize that most of them require a strap in order to get a reading. And, many of the strapless versions are quite expensive, poorly rated, and have too many extras.

When I found the Isokinetics heart rate monitor watch, it seemed the best of all worlds: simple, inexpensive, and small enough to fit my wrist. At $29 with free shipping, it was a real bargain. Less than a week after I ordered it, I'm wearing it and extremely happy.

The monitor/watch fits my small wrist (with one notch to go). The one button testing is easier than having to use two fingers as some strapless watch monitors require. And it works! It uses regular watch batteries that can be replaced for about $5 at most watch repair/jewelry stores if you'd rather not do it yourself.

This was a good buy. 5 stars for sure!

Polar Heart Rate Monitor FT60F Purple 1 ea Review

(More customer reviews)I have had this watch since around October 2009.It worked perfectly until about two months ago.It takes several attempts to get the watch and the wearlink strap to sync.There it just stops during the workout.I have changed the battery in both the watch and the wearlink strap.I am very disappointed in the Polar company. They have given little to no support for this product and the operational manual is no help either.I am fairly certain I will not purchase another Polor product.

I have owned several Polar HR monitors.This one is by far the easiest to set up and use - yet still accurately tracks details on multiple workout sessions.The chest strap is a new design that is very comfortable.Only cloth touches the skin; the transmitter snaps onto the front of the strap.The transmitter on my old chest strap irritated the area of my skin were it rested.I have used this new monitor and chest strap combination during biking, step, walking, and strength training.I have not experienced any signal drops outs even when I am bending over.I love the option that allows me to see the heart rate or calories in a large font so that I just have to quickly glance at my monitor while exercising to see my progress.

Timex T5J031 Unisex Digital Fitness Heart Rate Monitor Watch Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased this watch to replace an older Polar heart rate monitor with dead batteries in the chest strap and the monitor.The design of that product required me to send both units in for replacement by a Polar service center. The cost was nearly as much as the cost of this timex heart rate monitor.

I am so pleased with this product.The instructon manual was clearly written and easy to understand.There are just enough functions for me without loading the product up with things I will never use.That makes using it simple and I can remember how to use it without having to refresh my memory by repeatedly rereading the manual.

The monitor is an excellent watch when not using the heart rate features.Best of all I can change the batteries myself when the time comes without sending the thing off in the mail to a service center.

On top of all that the price was reasonable.This is one of those few purchases that exceeded my expectations because everything that it does, it does a little bit better than I had hoped for.
