(More customer reviews)I've been struggling to find a well balanced bag with a good construction.Its pretty much hit or miss I'm finding, but this is a good bag.I have 3 bags, two everlast and one top contender.The everlast vinyl that came with my platform is perfectly balanced, but already has a small rip from use (not a big deal, still usable).I wanted to get a leather bag so that its easier on my hands.The leather on this bag is heavy and can take a beating, and the large size of the bag is convenient for a good workout (Beginner).It is also well balanced, not as well as the vinyl, but much better than the top contender I purchased.

I would recommend this bag.

Everlast Rocky Desktop Speed Bag Review

(More customer reviews)This is a great Everlast product and while there may be better desktop speedbags out there, none of them have the licensing of Rocky i am sure. I stuck it to my ceiling and have not had it fall off once from lots of usage from friends and family. Aside from the air pump being cheap, this is a solid purchase for any boxing or Rocky fan.Off topic but does anyone know why it won't let me list this item? Does Amazon randomely remove products from its inventory?

About Everlast
The name Everlast is synonymous with boxing. Renown internationally as a manufacturer of boxing equipment, Everlast started out as a swimwear manufacturer in 1910. Headquartered in the Bronx, NY, the company was founded by 17-year-old Jacob Golomb. The son of a tailor and an avid swimmer, Jacob Golomb was dissatisfied with the durability of swimsuits because they barely lasted a season, so he began making suits that he guaranteed would last for a full year. He proudly gave them the name, Everlast. Although the swimsuits did not last through the years, the name did.
Over the next years, Golomb expanded his company into a small retail store that carried a full line of sports equipment. In 1917, a young fighter named Jack Dempsey introduced boxing to Golomb and Everlast. Dempsey asked Golomb to construct protective headgear that would last more than 15 rounds of intensive boxing training. Golomb specially designed the training gear for Dempsey. In 1919, Dempsey won the world's heavyweight championship wearing boxing gloves made for him by Golomb. Everlast became the headquarters for boxing equipment throughout the world. In 1925, Golomb designed elastic-waist trunks to replace the leather-belted trunks then worn by boxers. These trunks, now known as boxer trunks, immediately became famous. Jacob Golomb ran the business until he passed away in the early 1950's and his son, Dan, took over. In 1958, Ben Nadorf joined Everlast and purchased 50% of the company from the Golomb family. When Dan Golomb passed away in 1995, Nadorf purchased the family's remaining 50% interest. Nadorf remained the President and Principle Share Holder of Everlast until October 24, 2000.
Everlast men's and women's apparel and accessories continue today to be tremendously successful both inside and outside the ring. In addition, Everlast boxing trunks and equipment remain the proud and undefeated champion of the boxing industry for more than 90 years. The history continues, as the name states. Everlast has a traditional past and a knockout future.

Health Mark BT22000 MMA Dual Pad Kick Boxing Station with Speed Bag Review

(More customer reviews)This product looked so cool in the picture that I just had to get it. I am a little disappointed though.

Cons:
1) It's too short
The description says that the height varies from 48-56 inches. This measurement is obviously not from the floor to the top of the "head" or speed bag. I guess maybe that is true if you have the arms pointed straigh up. When I use it, I feel a little like Kramer in that episode of Seinfeld where he is fighting those little kids in karate class.

2) The pole spins when you hit the arms
As the previous reviewer pointed out, when you hit one of the hand targets, the whole this spins (sometimes upto 180 degrees). I am guy, but not an expert at martial arts. So I hit and kick harder than a child, but I am not crushing it. The problem is that you have to reset the arms after every strike. It breaks up the continuity of the workout.

3) The spring on the punching bag seems too long.
When you give the bag a good bop, it doesn't bounce back very quickly. So, don't expect to do much speed work with it.

4) It's a little more cheaply made than I expected
The punching bag is thick rubber/vynil, so I am not afraid of popping it, but it is not the same material that you see in other speed bags. The hand targets are not even close to the quality of the paddle targets that we use in our taekwondo class. That may be why they designed it to spin. Still, I am not terribly afraid of breaking it in the next few weeks or anything.

Final Word
I got this to use at home because I don't really have anyone to hold paddle targets for me. If I can figure out a way to make it stop spinning when I kick it, then I will be much happier.

VERY fast rebound and well balanced and pretty quiet.Was a joy to hit.Now for the reason it gets only 2 stars....it fell apart in 2 weeks.3 of the 6 seams started splitting really bad. I had to return it to Amazon to get a refund. I went with another speed bag by everlast which is leather.It's not nearly as fast and is a little bigger....but it is showing no wear after a month of beatings.If this bag was made of more durable materials, I'd try it again.
