Harbinger 134 Women's FlexFit Wash & Dry Gloves (Black) Review

Harbinger 134 Women's FlexFit Wash & Dry Gloves
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought these months ago, and forgot to review them.I am a gym rat, and am pretty hard on my gloves.I use mainly freeweights, and hate the callouses that build up from the roughed-out bars.I go to the gym 4-6 times a week for about 2 hours or so a day.
When I first used these gloves, they were rather tight, but after a few uses, they mold to my hand perfectly. They are snug enough to protect my hand, but not tight so they cramp or cut off any circulation (even when gripping a regular bar).I have washed these in my clothes washer and they are just fine, too.
The one thing that I see as a negative with these (but this is with most workout gloves)--the finger coverage isn't quite long enough for me.I'd feel better with about 1/8-1/4 inch longer fingers on the glove. But they aren't short enough to cause any problem.
All in all, I can see these lasting a LONG time, even with the heavy use they get with me.

Schiek 540 Platinum Lifting Gloves - One Year Warranty! Review

Schiek 540 Platinum Lifting Gloves - One Year Warranty
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is my second pair of Schiek gloves, and I've been very happy with both purchases. I've had a couple of other brands, but I like the Schieks because they have design features that make them a pleasure to use right out of the box. The "fins" things that run along each finger don't seem like a big deal, but once you get used to how easy they make it to get your gloves off after a workout, you'll find you miss them in other gloves. The man-made material they use makes the gloves smell like a new tire. :-)But they also are less likely to smell in the usual way after many workouts. They also don't shrink, and are easier to take care of (machine wash). Schiek claims that they won't bleed black dye onto your hands. That hasn't been totally true for me, but the small amount you get after a sweaty workout is nothing compared with the black/purple ink stains you get with leather gloves (and it takes a long long time for that to stop happening). All in all I strongly recommend them. Note, the picture for the Schiek 540 X-Large gloves is wrong ... they're not tan/black, they're black/black.

Everlast Pro Style Training Gloves Review

Everlast Pro Style Training Gloves
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
First I want to make a slight correction to the previous reviewer's text: the size/weight of the gloves doesn't change according to the size of your hand but, rather, to the size of you, the user of the gloves. If you are an average sized male you will be hard pressed to find a sparring partner if you only have 10oz gloves: nobody in their right minds would agree to spar with you because with such small gloves the risk of injuring the receiver of the blows goes way up. Hence 16oz is the standard size for sparring gloves. Women can use 14oz and children 14oz and 12oz depending on how big they are. The point with heavier/bigger gloves is to protect your training partner.
Anyway, on with the review: these are good, all-around sparring gloves. Their over-all quality is quite good and even the velcros are done well so you could use these for thai boxing as well without scratching your partner's neck and shoulders when clinching. However, I found that when you put more power behind your punches your knuckles tend to come through a bit so they're not the safest gloves around. Still they are good enough for pretty much anybody who's looking for a good pair of gloves for sparring.
I recommend that you get a separate pair of bag gloves or 10oz gloves for bag and mitt work since hitting the heavy bag and focus mitts harden the leather which, again, makes the gloves more dangerous to use in sparring. Remember to wrap your hands and wrists when hitting the heavy bag in order to avoid knuckle, wrist, and shoulder injuries.
Everlast is a good company and for the most part they make quality products. These gloves do what they are supposed to do.

Product Description:
If you want to fight like a pro, you have to train like a pro. Enter the Everlast Pro Style training gloves, which help you train properly every time you step up to the bag. Made of synthetic leather, the Pro Style gloves are built to promote proper punching technique, with full padding on the front and back of the wrist that conforms to the natural shape of your fist. As a result, the gloves not only teach your hands how to punch correctly, but they also prevent injury. This dense two-layer foam sandwich also protects your wrists, as does the exclusive ThumbLok feature, which keeps your thumb and fist positioned correctly. Perhaps best of all, the gloves are designed using EverFresh materials, which guard against ever-present odors and microbes. Available in 12-, 14, and 16-ounce sizes, the gloves offer the choice of a traditional lace-up design or a hook-and-loop Velcro strap for quick on and off.
About Everlast
Although the name Everlast is synonymous with boxing, the company actually started out as a swimwear manufacturer in the Bronx in 1910. The son of a tailor and an avid swimmer, 17-year-old Jacob Golomb grew dissatisfied with the flimsy swimsuits of the time, which barely lasted a season. In response, he began making suits that he guaranteed would last for a full year. He proudly gave them the name "Everlast," and although the swimsuits did not last throughout history, the name did. In subsequent years, Golomb transformed his company into a small retail store that carried a full line of sports equipment. In 1917, a young fighter named Jack Dempsey introduced boxing to Golomb and Everlast. Dempsey asked Golomb to construct protective headgear that would last more that 15 rounds of intensive boxing training. In 1919, Dempsey won the world heavyweight championship wearing boxing gloves made for him by Golomb, and shortly afterward, Everlast became the boxing equipment headquarters throughout the world. Dedicated to leveraging the unique qualities represented by the Everlast brand--strength, dedication, individuality, and authenticity--the Everlast brand is now present in more than 101 countries and has 88 licenses worldwide.

GoFit Diamond Tac Wrist-Wrap Weightlifting Gloves Review

GoFit Diamond Tac Wrist-Wrap Weightlifting Gloves
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have owned three or four weight gloves over the years, and this is the best of them. While they aren't padded, they are perfect in every other conceivable way. The diamond tac grip swirl gives you the friction that the other cloth of the glove doesn't afford and the design does not restrict the closure of your grip. The wrist strap provides a good deal of wrist support without prohibiting range of motion.

Like I said, there is no padding, so you might choose another glove for really heavy lifting, but for most people these are sufficient. The only upgrade I could conceive would be varying the color a bit, but this purchase was definitely worth it.

Everlast Everhide Speed Bag Review

Everlast Everhide Speed Bag

Ok, this bag WAS great. VERY fast rebound and well balanced and pretty quiet. Was a joy to hit.Now for the reason it gets only 2 stars....it fell apart in 2 weeks.3 of the 6 seams started splitting really bad. I had to return it to Amazon to get a refund. I went with another speed bag by everlast which is leather. It's not nearly as fast and is a little bigger....but it is showing no wear after a month of beatings. If this bag was made of more durable materials, I'd try it again.

I enjoyed these gloves when I first got them. They were very comfortable, unfortunately the seams did not hold up and the gloves started falling apart. Not what I expected from an expensive pair like these. They're good, but not worth the price, and other gloves are manufactured to hold up much better.

I've been lifting for over 20 years, and have tried many different types/brands of work out gloves. These are the best that I've used to date by far.Unlike the other leather/suede gloves I've used in the past which seem to stretch over time and become "bulky" not to mention that sweaty leather smell...these gloves truly fit like a "hand and glove" should be.It's also a very attractive design. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is, because it does fit so nice and snug, it's a bit more challenging to take off!But I still LOVE them!: )
