(More customer reviews)As an occasional user of exercise equipment, I used to be content with the Weider brand.A couple of years ago,I decided to get more serious about exercising.I got a Weider home gym for about $ 300.00. That was a mistake! Cheap plastic pulleys and skinny steel bolts can't hold up to regular use and I'm sure Weider Knows it!
So I saw the Stamina Viper and now I knew what to look for.The Viper has heavy duty Pulleys,fat bolts and overall solid construction.For bench presses,it uses a leverage resistance,which doubles the weight on the stack(for the viper,you need"olympic"size weight plates).The unit has a relatively small footprint,but you need space all around to properly use it.Assembly is probably about six hours average, with basic tools. I'm looking forward to years of service from this sturdy machine
