About Inversion Tables
Back pain is an uncomfortable and cumbersome ailment for millions of people. It can strike repeatedly and without warning, nearly paralyzing its victims with pain and discomfort. Inversion therapy is an excellent way to prevent and treat chronic or recurring back pain. This form of therapy treats back pain by hanging a person upside-down by their ankles. The only problem with this therapy is a risk of spinal injury because of the procedure's lack of support. Fortunately, inversion tables remove this risk.
A person can lie on an inversion table, and then gradually turn themselves upside down, always fully supported by their ankles. With precise balance, simple arm movements control the rotation of the inversion table. Special tether straps or locking hinges allow users to stop a rotation at just the right angle in order to stretch a specific place in their back. This technique has proven effective for relieving spine compression, elongating the spine, and reversing minor spinal dislocations. Of course, this treatment is not for everyone. People with glaucoma, very high blood pressure, bone disorders, or a history of severe spinal injury or surgery should be careful and check with a physician before administering inversion therapy. However, with a bit of practice and caution, inversion tables can be your ticket to a pain-free and healthier back.

Teeter Hang Ups F7000S Inversion Table (Factory Refurbished) Review

Teeter Hang Ups F7000S Inversion Table
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
It was easy to assemble. Fit and finish like a Hasselblad camera, and that is not a joke.

Totally stable in use, nothing rattles, easy to adjust for people of different height and weight.

It is absolutely silent in use, so it could even be used in a bedroom next to somebody sleeping if desired.

I feel safe when using it because it is so well-built (when you're hanging upside down, that is important!).

This was the only inversion table I could find that wasn't made in mainland China. Why do I care? Because it shows in the quality and in the thorough, English language instructions and tips for use, even a good DVD.

I was also pleased that it folded flat for storage quite easily.

Product Description:
If you're plagued by back pain or suffer from stress overload, consider the Teeter Hang Ups F7000S inversion table, which helps to counter the effects of too much time spent sitting, standing or moving repetitively. In full inversion it's also a great way to add extra crunch to exercises like sit-ups without adding painful loads to your back. The Teeter Hang Ups F7000S rotates on a pivot system. With simple arm movements (rotation is accomplished by shifting the weight of the arms), the table easily rotates to any comfortable angle. The smooth rotation allows for oscillation and intermittent traction. Adjustable roller hinges allow you to pre-select three levels to control the aggressiveness of rotation. Increase the traction and enhance your stretching experience by pushing on the EZ Stretch Traction Handles (sold separately).
Comfortable ankle clamps hold you securely while inverting. Corner feet increase the A-frame base by 20 percent, reduce sliding on hard surfaces and protect floors.
The F7000S is able to lock at full 90 degrees inversion (this is only possible when using the more responsive roller hinge setting). While at 90 degrees, you can perform inverted sit-ups and squats. The table is self-controlled and can be unlocked with simple arm movements.
Feature Detail:

Removable, washable nylon mat with triple-stitched seams removes easily for cleaning
Spepalized roller hinges for guaranteed smooth rotation with no squeaks for the life of the table; patented cam locks ensure proper assembly
Durable, injection-coated rubber hand grips feature an embossed guide to the angles of inversion
Adjustable tether strap allows you to preset the tether strap for worry-free inversion to any angle
Heat treated high quality carbon steel used in key structural components for increased strength and durability
Curved foam ankle clamps offer a unique design that allows for greater comfort and security while inverted
Self-locking hinges secure the table bed to the A-frame for improved security and portability
De-rattler knob reduces shaft movement to allow for quiet, shift-free rotation--the only design on the market to structurally engage the main shaft
Triple-plated chrome main shaft with steel wall thickness at least 20 percent greater than any main shaft on the market. Features embossed height markers in both inches and centimeters for easy adjustment
    Height capacity: 4'8" to 6'6"
    Weight capacity: 300 pounds
    Assembled dimensions: 45 x 28 x 58 inches
    Folded dimensions: 66 x 28 x 14 inches

The F7000S Inversion Table folds compactly for storage in a closet or in a corner. The nylon mat can be removed for washing. Every table comes with an instructional DVD and laminated owner's manual.

Teeter Hang Ups Gravity Boots Review

Teeter Hang Ups Gravity Boots
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I tried a couple of inversion tables but found that they weren't very comfortable on my ankles.Note:It is important to only buckle these gravity boots as loosely as you can without slipping out of them for maximum comfort (transfers pressure off achiles tendon and onto heal bone.)You can use these gravity boots with some inversion tables, but If you have the strength/coordination you may find that hanging from a bar (teeters brand) allows for more options (more hip/body movement.)Scientific studies have shown that traction is of questionable benefit, so I never bothered to persue inversion as the mechanism at play is obviously traction. However, recently, after many many years of back pain, I've started a program of inversion.I find that out of all the things I have tried (of which there are a great many), the inversion is probably the most beneficial. It hasn't cured me by any means, but it has provided some improvement.I think one thing to stress is that it is not sufficient to simply invert and lay still.Rather, it is probably much more beneficial to alternately contract the abdominals in a way that shortens your spinal length by aprox an inch or two.As if you are trying to pull your belly button up into your pelvis. or pelvic bone down into your belly button, perhaps? Do this every five or ten seconds. Not only will this strengthen your abs, but it will also fatiuge your stabalizing muscels so as to more fully stretchthe spine (the abs, if not fatiuged, probably limit the stretch, as they are trying to protect the spine and hold it in place.)Also, by contracting and relexing the abs, you are likely expanding and contracting the disc space, moving fluid around the connective tissue (which has no real blood vessels of thier own.)Lastly, by doing these contractions, you may in effect be loading and unloading the spinal ligaments, which might strengthen them the way a bicep is strengthened by contracting and relaxing through bicep curls. There are many people, myself included, who believe that weak ligaments are the primary culprit in many lower back problems (even if bad discs are present....ie, many people have bad discs without problems, as shown by MRI studies.)In my case I believe it is my Sacroiliac joint ligament (si joint dysfunction.) I'm quite convinced that my improvments are not placebo in origin, as I was quite pessimistic about trying this (due to studies on traction that had me convinced this was fairly futile.)In addition to the abdominal contractions, I'd also reccomend dofull inverted situps, hula type hip rotations while inverted, try to stretch the front of your hips (flexors) while inverted, and also twisting and side bending motion. It is probable that all this motion and stretching while inverted ads flexibility and elasticity to the connective tissue as well as moves fluid around.I invert twice a day for ten minutes each time.

Weslo Inversion Flex System Review

Weslo Inversion Flex System
Average Reviews:

For the money you just can't beat this table. I looked at several others offered on Amazon and it seemed to me the price and other reviews for this model were strong so I ordered it; I'm really glad I did.

It arrived almost two weeks before promised, it was packed well and the box was easy to open. The assembly was simple with easy to follow excellent illustrations - (and believe me I'm not very handy) - and I found all of the parts to be sturdy and fit together seamlessly.

I had previously tried another model at the sporting goods store by I found the ankle attachment much less hard on me on this one. I really couldn't be happier and if you compare it to other models the price and workmanship are flat out excellent.

The only thing I would recommend you do is get on Youtube and watch some video's to get a sense of how to use it in advance; since it does not come with a video that will be a must. The instructions in the manual are well written but you really should watch someone using a table before you tackle it; and do not try it alone at first!!!

I've only used it a couple of days but I'm amazed that most of my morning back pain (that I've had for years now) has gone away!! It is really an amazing thing!

My kids enjoyed a balance board I borrowed from a friend, "Indo Balance". Didn't feel like spending $120 for everything, so I spent $42 for everything. Including Valeo 13" balance disk, a hard foam 6" balance roller, and one 7/8 12"x48" pine board(Lowes) I shaped down to 36", stained, and added $5 grip tape(skateboard) to make my Kids custom Balance Board. Kettler APOLLO Inversion Trainer Table Review

Kettler APOLLO Inversion Trainer Table

High quality, nice design, good customer service (a piece damaged in shipment was replaced with no hassle). Compared to my old American Sports back swing, on which the nylon finally gave out after 25 years, this is higher quality everywhere, and the curved handles are a handy feature for pulling yourself back to upright position in case you're not balanced perfectly. The only downside is that assembly is not easy or obvious, and the instructions are incomplete and poorly written.

Stamina Seated Inversion Core Training System Review

Stamina Seated Inversion Core Training System
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have been obsessed with finding the right inversion therapy device for my back and neck pain. I finally centered on this one for many reasons after researching for 3 months.

What it does and how it works is amazing. No pull on your ankles, legs and hips like a table. For me and most people I know, they just need their spine stretched not their entire body. So since your knees are bent and it's holding you by the lap belt, it gives a MUCH better spinal stretch and pull than any table can.

HORRIBLE QUALITY CONTROL THOUGH
The box was not sturdy enough to ship something this big and heavy. But I don't think any of the problems were direct shipping damage.

There's a tear in the seat. Part of the break mechanism was missing so I can't even use the break. May be dangerous to use it without it, but I'm using it anyway. One of the threads was stripped so one of the screws that holds the back support wouldn't go in. I just got it yesterday and already the adjustable ankle pad is stuck all the way in and won't release. So I can't get my feet in and it hurts cuz it's too tight. Multiple scratches and blemishes in numerous places. I wondered at 1st if it was used, but I think it was just a lot of scratched up parts that were used and very poor quality workmanship. I was a little afraid to try it, in case it fell apart. But structurally it feels pretty sturdy.

BEAR TO ASSEMBLE - BEAR TO RETURN
This thing is a bear to put together. I had to pay someone to do it for me and it took over 2 hours. So it will be too much trouble to pack up and return it.Besides that the box was in too bad a shape to re-use and basically feel apart after opening.ALSO too much cost to pay someone to assemble another one. (My eyes glazed over just trying to read the directions and I have an Internet Marketing company and work 7 days a week, so just paid someone to do it for me.) It's Sunday so I can't call Stamina or Amazon to find out what can be done.

I DON'T DO REVIEWS
I buy a TON of products on Amazon and never do reviews. The only reason I wrote this one is because 1)It feels incredibly good on my back and I would have rated that part a 5. 2) It sure is crappy workmanship so be forewarned. I would have rated that part a 1. Hence the overall 3 rating.

Product Description:
Featuring a curved backrest that extents the back slightly, this device provides inversion therapy with less stress on the ankles, knees, and hips than does a flat-backrest inversion table. It's designed for people whose doctors recommend inversion therapy to reduce pressure on spinal discs, ligaments, and nerve roots while increasing blood circulation, strengthening the back, and elongating the spine. (Note: The manufacturer warns that inversion therapy is not safe for everyone and should not be undertaken without consulting a doctor.) Curved, foam-padded handlebars make it easy to assume any of six inversions positions. Foam-padded ankle collars ensure comfort and support while inverted. For easy, safe mounting and dismounting, there's a hand brake that holds the chair in place. Skid-resistant rubber floor protectors maximize stability during mounting, dismounting, and inverting.
The chair accommodates users of most heights. The device's frame is heavy-duty steel, and vinyl-covered upholstery is cushioned for comfort. Assembled (instructions included), the device measures 62 inches deep x 35 inches wide x 56 inches high and weighs 72 pounds. I have been suffering with a bad back for years and recently ruptured a disc and had a bout with sciatica!!!I have never been in so much pain and the options given by Drs. were to have my nerves "deadened" to relieve the sciatica and a "discectomy" for the disc problem. Not wanting to try either option, I chose to invest in an inversion table just to see if I could treat my problems myself. The first few attempts at the table caused alot of pain in my ankles which I remedied by wearing "snow boots"!!Since then my ankles have toughed up and I no longer need the boots. What a wonderful invention, I have gotten alot of relief in just a short period of time and hope to be pain free soon.

Teeter Hang Ups EP-550 Inversion Therapy Table Review

Teeter Hang Ups EP-550 Inversion Therapy Table
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I was somewhat skeptical when I ordered this board whether it would help my back or not.I am periodically bothered by back problems that are either sciatica or something closely resembling it.When it hits it has always taken at least six weeks of physical inactivity and stretching to relieve the pain, and the ache would linger for months. When I felt the latest bout of this condition begin, I ordered this board.I can truthfully say that after using the board for one week, five minutes a day, the pain and any sign of the condition had disappeared.I live alone so I do not fully invert, but the last setting using the safety harness was enough to provide me relief.I only use it two or three times a week now, but have not had a recurrence of the back problem in the four months since buying the board. The one time relief was enough to justify buying the board, and any future aid in relieving or preventing the sciatica will be gravy for me.I am beginning to believe that periodic use may hopefully prevent the condition from coming back.I bought the Teeter board because I am 64 years old and weigh 250 lbs.I feel very secure on this board and if I had someone around when I was using it I would have no hesitation in going fully inverted. The sensation when you first use the board takes some getting used to, but once you develop trust in the board that feeling goes away.

Product Description:
Whether you want to enjoy better posture, reduce back pain, or simply minimize your daily stress load, the Teeter Hang Ups EP-550 inversion therapy table makes a terrific choice. Inversion therapy works by placing your body in line with the downward force of gravity. In the process, inversion elongates the spine, increases the space between the vertebrae, and relieves the pressure on discs, ligaments, and nerve roots. And less pressure means less back pain, as well as fewer headaches and neck problems. Inversion is an ideal therapy for people with persistent spine and muscle problems, in addition to athletes who frequently push their body out of whack through repetitive muscle motions, such as runners, weightlifters, skiers, bikers, and golfers. Studies suggest that inverting yourself a mere 25 degrees for even a few minutes per day can have tremendously positive effects.
The EP-550 is outfitted with such features as Flex Technology, which allows the backrest to bend accommodate your stretches for greater mobility and range of motion; an adjustable foot platform with two settings, allowing you to find the optimum position for ankle comfort and security; and an EZ Angle tether strap, which offers preset angles at 20, 40, and 60 degrees, along with custom angles depending on your preferred position. Other details include an adjustable head pillow for maximum comfort, an instructional DVD, and a 300-pound user capacity. The EP-550, which accommodates people as tall as 6 feet 6 inches, carries a five-year warranty.

Barrel exercises are challenging for the pilates neophyte and the pro.

Elite Fitness Inversion Table Review

Elite Fitness Inversion Table
Average Reviews:

After reading about the benefits of inversion tables and doing some research, the 9250 along with a couple of other tables met our criteria: Inexpensive, folds for storage, wrap around handles, sufficient height adjustment. Opted for this one because the breathable mesh back area with a removeable head pillow looked most comfortable. Good choice! It is as it molds to the body more than a padded backrest. Assembly of the table took about an hour using ratchets instead of the included wrenches. The instructions and pictures are clear with each part numbered. The unit we received had a part lacking a crucial bolt hole (table was usable without that part installed). Contacted the manufacturer on Monday and had a replacement part here on Thursday. That's good customer service. After almost a week of using the Elite 9250 table, can report that it's effective. As soon as I invert, feel my spine aligning and there's a full body stretch. Lower back soreness has decreased to almost nothing already after a week of using it for a few minutes a couple of times a day. Good value for the money and good investment in "me".

Pure Fitness Inversion Therapy Table Review

I've been having severe lower back pain for years and have been going to a chiropracter for about 8 months now with no improvment. I purchased this item 3 weeks ago and for the first time in about 3 years, I'm finally getting some relief. I am very encouraged that if I keep using this, my back pain will at the very least be greatly reduced. Although it still hurts, I can tell it's improving. The product itself is very sturdy, and as far as inversion tables go, you can't beat the price I got on Amazon. It was also easy to put together. VERY happy with my purchase!!

Elite Fitness IT 9300 Deluxe Inversion Table Review

Elite Fitness IT 9300 Deluxe Inversion Table
Average Reviews:

Inversion therapy really helps, that's all there is to it.Start slow and work up to whatever is comfortable. This table was easy to assemble. It takes up much less space when folded than many others I looked at.It utilizes a three position "bar stop" to control the angle of inversion. With just three positions I was skeptical about the lack of adjustment, but after using it for a few weeks I don't think it's an issue. The positions seem to be just right. The bar stop is much more secure than the straps which seem to slip.I have read many reviews where people have had to replace straps with chain.I weigh in at 235 lbs and feel very secure using this table.I think a lumbar support would be a good addition.I thought it was a little odd that aside from assembly and adjustment instructions, there were no guidelines included for actual use !I just reviewed some guidelines from the web.

Product Description:
Relieve back pain, ease joint tension, and improve blood circulation without hiring a personal masseuse with the Elite Fitness IT 9300 Deluxe inversion table.

Inversion therapy helps you improve your posture and reduce back pain.Inversion therapy works by placing your body in line with the downward force of gravity. In the process, inversion elongates the spine, increases the space between the vertebrae, and relieves the pressure on discs, ligaments, and nerve roots. And less pressure means less back pain, as well as fewer headaches and neck problems. Inversion is deal for people with persistent spine and muscle aches, in addition to athletes who frequently push their bodies out of whack through repetitive muscle motions, such as runners, weightlifters, skiers, cyclists, and golfers. Studies suggest that inverting your body a mere 25 degrees for even a few minutes per day can have tremendous positive effects.
The IT 9300 is built with versatility in mind, with a three-position, adjustable inversion safety bar that makes it easy to position the table for a consistent, safe decompression every time. The four-point pod-style base frame, meanwhile, creates stability on uneven surfaces, such as poorly floored garages and basements. And thanks to the padded foam backrest, the IT 9300 is supportive and comfortable. Built with a folding frame for easy storage, the table includes four foam leg rollers and two foam handlebars.

I spent alot of time researching the pros and cons of purchasing a less expensive inversion table.Based on my research, this table has all the same features of more expensive curved tables at an affordable price. I comes with all the tools required to assemble it, although some pliers and extra hands are recommended.I highly recommend this product. Also, the Aosom Company was quick to process and deliver the table.Fed-ex was able to deliver the table in one day.I hope it helps to fix my back.

Product Description:
The soozier inversion table is a great household accessory to help reducing your back stress or fatigue, and stimulating your blood circulation. Inversion therapy is a safe and effective way to reduce the mechanical stress on your lower spine. Numerous clinical studies published in reputable medical journals have confirmed that inversion really does increase the separation between the discs of the spine, and separation of the facet joints which brings relief from back pain.Soozier Elite Inversion Table is designed and engineered using heavy duty industrial quality materials making it suitable for both home and health clubs. It boasts a durable tubular steel frame with a scratch-resistant powder-coated finish. The backrest is made of a tough nylon material that's extremely durable yet still comfortable when the table is in use. Most importantly, the inversion system is a breeze to use: once you rest your body against the nylon backrest and slip your feet into the ergonomically molded ankle cushions, simply reach your arms over your head. As your arms go up, your body gradually inverts up to 180 degrees. The only inputs are your energy and gravity itself. The soozier inversion table also comes with the tough rubber non-skid floor stabilizers, which keep the table stable while you invert, and the extra-long safety handles, which provide an easy return to an upright position. Other details include a height-adjustable frame up to 6 feet 6 inches; support for up to 300 pounds; vinyl safety side covers to protect hands and fingers; and a durable spring-loaded ankle locking system. The overall size is 60" X 51.2" X 25.6"(HXWXD).The package Weight is 57lbs
